6. Reckless Paige (1/2)

jdkeller2000: i said paige's v-cannon is the same as jen's but with a foldable handle back in the two-part pilot. as for her chrono sabers, she'll be using them in both duel blade mode and double blade mode, since lucas and katie have done both in the show.

guest: as paige is the youngest, i'm not sure about pairing her up with anyone. i said at the start, she's more like the kid sister on the team.

in the cryo prison, nadira was sitting down doing her nails, as gluto stared dreamily at her.

"oh, nadira, you look so sweet and beautiful." he smirked.

nadira turned and glared at him.

"uh, in a evil mistress sort of way!" gluto stuttered, backing away.

frax then came in and stared at them both while moving towards the cryo chamber, just as ransik came in from his room.

"do any of you have plans to make us more powerful?" he asked.

"well, i think the rangers need to be taught a lesson about how dangerous we are first." frax suggested.

"frax has a point, daddy." nadira admitted. "and maybe we could get more cash to make us more powerful at the same time."

"hmm? you mean kill two birds with one stone?" ransik assumed, his hand on his chin. "that's actually a great idea. that'll really prove to sliver hills that the rangers will never be able to save them."

"i think i know who'd be prefect for this, daddy." nadira smiled.

she got up and walked towards the panels, before opening one up. she smiled at the containers inside, before picking one up and turning around.

"beakwings, the master of flight robberies." she said. "the rangers won't know what hit them."

she approached the cryo chamber as it opened up, then took beakwings - who was a yellow griffin themed mutant, with a large beak and pair of wings - out of his container. she put him down in the cyro chamber, then backed away from it, before a cyclobot pressed buttons on its panel, closing it up. the yellow light above it then turned green, then it opened up again as smoke came out of it, before beakwings out.

"ah! wahoo! beakwings gets to fly again!" he whooped.

"prefect. with his wings, the he'll be able to do fast robberies before the rangers can catch him." ranisk smirked.

"and if they do catch him, he can really give them a good pounding." frax added.

beakwings

ought out a staff and spun it around, before spreading his wings.

"if anyone gets in my way, they'll know who's stopped them." he smirked, holding the staff down.

in nick of old times, paige was cleaning the counter up with duster, then she wiped some sweat from her forehead, before she sat down behind the counter. she picked up a drink of orange juice from a nearby table, and drank some of it, before putting it back down on the table. she then took out a picture from the pocket of her jacket and stared at it, showing herself, her parents, and a her little

other chris. paige had her time force uniform on, while her father, ezra, had a stick in his left hand, but he still smiled with the rest.

"i'll make you proud, dad." she sighed quietly. "i promise."

she put the picture away, then drank some more of her juice.

"if i ever meet that mutant that hurt you, i'll make sure he gets what he deserves." she promised quietly. "he'll pay for ruining your career."

ings out his chrono saber, then all the rangers turn around on a building.

the rangers stand near the time gate, then all spin around on a building again.

power...rangers!

they all stand together, then lucas presses his chrono morpher.

the rangers - minus wes - all stand together while looking around through visual scanner sunglasses.

the transwarp megazord whacks the shadow winger into the time gate.

the time flyers fly through time and space, then the rangers spin around onboard the time ship.

dinosaurs gasp as they see the time flyers, which then flew over the egyptians in ancient egypt.

the rangers stand together as an explosion goes off behind them.

the transwarp megazord stands above people in the year 3000.

nadria rips off her civilian clothes in a store, showing her battle armour, and freaking out the customers while she smiles.

the ends of the saber move up slowly.

the rangers all look up at the clock tower.

as paige got up from her chair, wes came in from the front door.

"hey." he said.

"oh, hi, wes." paige said, walking towards him.

"you been cleaning this place up?" wes asked.

"sort of..." paige shrugged. "the others are busy upstairs right now."

"well, i think you guys really fixed this place up." wes commented. "it almost looks as good as new."

"thanks, wes." paige said.

they both turned around as they heard a noise, then saw the others running down the stairs.

"there's trouble in the city." jen explained. "some flying mutant's making havoc in the market."

wes and paige nodded, before all six of them ran out of the store.

in the city, beakwings swooped down over the market area, scaring off dozens of people.

"ahh!" they screamed, running off.

beakwings swooped towards a market stall, then landed behind one and opened up its cash register.

"ha, ha, ha! money, money, money." he smirked, putting the money into a bag.

once he'd put all the money into the bag, he ran out from behind the stall and looked at the others.

"now, which stall shall i rob next?" he wondered.

blasts then hit him in the chest, knocking him back slightly.

"ah!" he moaned, clutching his chest, before looking up. "huh?"

he saw the rangers riding on the time jet towards him.

"let's go, guys." jen said.

she jumped off it, followed by wes, katie, paige, trip and lucas, then they all landed on street and stared at beakwings.

"ah, the rangers." he smirked. "i was wondering when you'd show up."

"well, give up, 'cause you're under arrest!" jen shouted, holding up her badge.

"oh, i don't think so." beakwings smirked.

the rangers stared at him confused, before he fired a sonic scream from his beak.

"ahh!" the rangers moaned, as it hit them.

beakwings kept the sonic scream on them, as they covered their ear areas, before they went flying away and hit the ground.

"aghh!" they moaned, hitting the ground - jen and paige on their chests, the rest on their backs.

beakwings laughed as the rangers all looked up at him.

"if that's all you rangers got, you're more pathetic than i thought." he laughed,

inging his staff out.

paige looked up, and then gasped, recognizing the staff.

"no." she gasped quietly. "impossible."

she clutched her fists in anger while pulling herself up.

"oh, well, what do we have here?" beakwings inquired. "you really think you can stop me, orange ranger?"

ought out her chrono sabers in dual blade mode, and then charged at him. he then dodged as she tried to slash him with both sabers, before blocking another with his staff, and then he kicked her in the belly, knocking her back slightly.

"uh!" she moaned.

wes looked up slightly as paige steadied herself, and then beakwings spun his staff around.

"guys, look." he said.

the others all looked up, as paige and beakwings glared at each other.

"you'll pay for what you've done?!" paige growled.

"oh, and what might that be?" beakwings smirked. "i've done lots of bad things, you know."

"agghhh!" paige yelled, as she charged at beakwings angrily.

"come on, guys." jen said, pulling herself up. "we've gotta help her."

"right!" the others said, pulling themselves up.

they all aimed their v-cannons at beakwings, but couldn't get a shot as paige was in the way.

"i can't get a clear shot!" lucas exclaimed.

"neither can i!" katie said.

"paige, move!" jen ordered.

paige ignored her and tried to slash beakwings with her sabers, but missed as he blocked them with his staff. they both moved around so they switched positions, before they pulled apart.

"paige, get outta the way!" jen yelled.

"uh!" she moaned, stumbling back.

beakwings then tried to stab her with his staff, but missed as she dodged, and then he dodged as she tried to slash her with her long saber. she then locked her shorter one with his staff as he tried to hit her with it, then she gritted her teeth.

"just what's gotten into her?" katie wondered, lowering her v4.

"you got me." trip shrugged, lowering his v3. "i've never seen her like this."

paige ducked as beakwings tried to whack her with his staff, then he blocked a slash from both her sabers, before he kicked her in the belly, knocking her back.

"ah!" she moaned, falling to her knees.

beakwings then fired a beam rope from his clawed hand, which wrapped around paige's chest.

"uh!" she moaned.

beakwings lifted her up, spun her around above himself, before she fell out of the beam rope.

"oh!" she moaned, before hitting the ground.

"ha, ha! you're pathetic, orange ranger!" beakwings laughed, before two blasts hit him in the chest. "ah!"

he turned to the other rangers as they gathered around paige, as trip and lucas pointed their v-cannons at beakwings - the others having put theirs away.

"paige, you okay?" wes asked, helping her up.

"outta my way!" paige snapped, pushing past him.

she charged at beakwings again as the others stared at her in shock.

"paige, wait!" trip called.

"paige, stop!" jen ordered.

paige ignored her and tried to slash beakwings again, but missed as he dodged, and then he kicked her in the side.

"uh!" she moaned.

she turned around to him, just as he tried to stab her with his staff, but she wrapped it under arm.

"prefect." beakwings smirked.

"huh?" paige gasped.

beakwings raised his staff up, lifting paige up with it, before he threw her away towards the others.

"ahh!" she yelled.

she then landed on top of the others - expect jen and wes who both dodged - knocking them all down.

"uh!" they moaned.

"you guys okay?" wes asked.

paige pulled herself up from the others, but then fell to her knees as the others all got up.

"guess it's time to say ta-ta for now." beakwings smirked. "see you later!"

he spread his wings out, jumped up and then flew away, just as paige got back up.

"get back here, you coward?!" she demanded, before falling to her knees.

"paige!" katie gasped, catching her.

the others all turned to her as katie helped her up.

later, in the clock tower, jen was glaring at paige as she sat down at the wooden table, while the others stared at them both.

"what is wrong with you, paige?!" jen scowled. "why were you acting so reckless back there?!"

paige looked up at her as everyone else turned between them.

"did you have a previous encounter with this mutant?" wes asked. "is that what set you off?"

"sort of." paige replied, folding her arms.

"paige, if this is personal, you shouldn't charge in blindly like that!" jen snapped. "you might get yourself hurt! you need to think before you act! you acted way out of line back there!"

"you don't know why i'm doing this, jen?!" paige snapped, getting up. "i say we get out there and find that mutant before he strikes again!"

"but we don't know where ransik's lair is." jen argued. "our best bet, is to wait until he shows up again."

"fine! i'll find that mutant by myself if i have too, but i'm the one

inging him in!" paige snapped, clutching her fists.

she turned around and walked away, losing her picture of her family from her jacket pocket as she straightened it.

"jen, that was harsh." katie said. "i get she's the youngest, and she still has a lot to learn, but she must've had a good reason for acting like that."

wes walked towards the picture.

"even if there is, she should know not to rush in blindly like that." jen reasoned.

"well, whatever it is, it sounds personal." lucas noted, as wes picked up the picture.

"yeah, but why?" trip wondered. "did he something to her years ago when she was a kid or something?"

wes stared at the picture of paige's family, while wondering why himself.

"hey, what's that?" lucas asked, turning to wes.

"oh, looks like a picture of her family." wes replied, turning to the others. "must've dropped it on her way out."

he showed them all the picture, making them all gasp in shock, confusing him.

"no way!" trip gasped, taking the picture. "her father is capt. ezra tanner?!"

"i don't believe it." lucas said.

"who?" wes asked.

"capt. tanner was one of the best time force officers in time force's history." katie explained. "always got his man."

"even alex looked up to him." jen added. "he saw capt. tanner as a mentor figure."

"well, what happened?" wes asked.

"during his last mission, a mutant got the upper hand on him." jen explained. "he was so badly injured, he couldn't walk without the use of a stick. made him retire early."

(outside)

paige walked along a beach, the same one the time ship had crashed a few weeks ago, before she sighed and stared at the ocean, thinking about her father.

"oh...and i guess paige thinks that mutant's the one responsible for her dad's condition." wes deduced.

"i'll get him for you, dad." paige promised. "even if i have to

eak every rule in the manual."

(clock tower)

"i'm afraid she's right." circuit said, opening up his eyes.

the rangers all turned to him.

"i've been looking up beakwings file, and it says he put a injured quite a lot of time force officers..." circuit explained.

the rangers turned to the communication device, as a hologram of beakwings showed up on it.

"..and capt. tanner was one of the last he'd injured before getting arrested." circuit explained.

the communication device showed a hologram of beakwings lifting up capt. tanner, before throwing him away and into a wall.

"ah!" capt. tanner moaned.

he fell to the ground and then clutched his right leg in pain.

"so much for the mighty capt. tanner." beakwings laughed.

the hologram then vanished from the communication device.

"paige must've known that while she was in training." trip deduced. "i guess seeing the mutant who ruined her father's cheer made her lose her cool."

jen sighed. "i guess if i saw ransik and lost my cool, i'd probably do the same as her." she sighed. "now i feel guilty about getting angry with her."

the others all stared at her.

in the cryo prison, ransik, nadria, gluto and frax were all staring at beakwings, as they'd all seen what happened.

"do you have any idea why the orange ranger attacked you like that?" ransik asked.

"no, sir." beakwings replied. "but she sounded more personal and emotional during the battle."

"maybe you've done something to her family in the past." frax suggested.

"well, that'd be hard." beakwings snarled. "i've hurt dozens of people before. if i knew what she looks like, it might help."

nadria walked towards a panel, then pressed a button on it, and then a hologram of paige's face showed up on it.

"does that help jog your memory?" she asked.
