7. Chapter 7 (1/2)
naomasa perked up once the two returned, and sat down. he didn't question the beaming smile from hizashi or the dark blush on aizawa's face.
"okay, little listener! how do you like the snacks?" hizashi asked as he grinned at the little girl.
kagome nodded her head as she nibbled on a strawberry, "it's okay."
the detective smiled at the scene before looking to aizawa, "so..have you talk it over? what did you decide."
aizawa looked over the messy-haired girl her blue eyes glancing up to his before looking away.
blue eyes just like that man's he pressed his lips together trying to push down his dark thoughts and feelings, it wasn't her fault that she inherited that man's eyes. she has been through enough she doesn't need your misplaced anger too. he scolded himself before looking at naomasa again.
"we've decided that we'll take care of her..."
naomasa seemed to relax at those words as a soft smile spread across his face, "that's good..." he stood and dusted off his pant from cookie crumbs. kagome's head whipping his way with wide eyes as she reached out for him. he caught sight of her out of the corner of his eye before turning to her and kneeling.
"hey no need to worry, you'll be fine. these two will take good care of you." he comforted as she gripped his coat.
she didn't look very convinced.
hizashi stood and also crouched next to her a hand going to rest on her hair, "don't worry the kind detective is welcomed to visit if her wants and if he isn't too busy down at the station we could take you for a visit, maybe steal him away for lunch?" he comforted as he looked to naomasa for an answer.
"that sounds lovely. so i'll see you again kid." naomasa said as he ruffled her already messy hair. "also call me naomasa" he finished looking to the blond man who nodded.
"of course naomasa, we'll see ya soon."
kagome hesitated, but let go as she watched him stand again.
"her bag is in i'm my car if you want to come with me to grab it," naomasa said as he walked to the door, aizawa stood to follow.
kagome watched him how with a frown.
