1. Chapter 1 (1/1)
just a very little bit of fluff. working on about 4 longer fics at the moment so... you're getting random old short things. i hope you enjoy this one.
disclaimer: i don't own any of this stuff.
bertrand wasn't as unobservant as vlad seemed to think. he'd noticed the stuffed monkey in vlad's room when he'd first stuck his head around the door to call him for training. he'd made no comment then, or when he saw erin holding the toy. he noticed, however, that it didn't take long to gravitate back towards its rightful place in vlad's room. he pretended not to see it.
so when vlad, dragging him towards his room, suddenly stopped with his hand on the door handle, tensing, his tutor didn't take long to figure out what was wrong."vlad?" the chosen one sighed, closing his eyes."i haven't been sleeping well, lately. my... my room's a mess, i can't let you see... it." reading between the lines, bertrand concluded that the boy's cuddly toy was probably in his coffin."let's go to the training room, then. that is, if you still want to...?" he wasn't really sure what vlad's intentions in dragging him around were, but he suspected that some serious snogging would be involved. the boy nodded and they set off downstairs, a little awkwardly.
vlad eventually
oke the silence."i'm sorry. i didn't think about it. i just feel like a pathetic little kid sometimes." he seemed surprised at his own words, and bertrand gave him a moment to accept that they'd left his lips before closing the training room door behind them and answering."it would be rather hypocritical of me to judge you for sleeping with a stuffed monkey, vlad." he crossed the room, reaching behind the bag that held his possessions to pull out an old, worn teddy bear. it was made in the old style – in fact, vlad thought it was probably old enough to be one of the original teddy bears, from when they first caught on. "this is auldearn. i sometimes have trouble sleeping myself."
vlad stared at him for a moment, then a grin spread across his face and bertrand realised he was never going to hear the end of this.
