12. The Power of Mind Control (1/2)

in the city, the rangers all ran down a street, when samurhive came bursting out of a connivance store.

"this is easier than i thought." he sneered.

"stop right there!" wes shouted.

samurhive turned as they all stopped in front of him.

"and who are you?" samurhive snarled.

"time force, and you're under arrest!" jen shouted, as they all held up their badges.

"you rangers will never capture samurhive!" samurhive snarled.

"we'll see about that!" wes retorted.

samurhive laughed as he

ought out his sword, then fired a beam from it, which hit them all, making them glow

ightly.

"aghh!" the rangers moaned, putting their forearms over their visors.

they then lowered them as the light around them vanished.

"huh, that's odd?" lucas said. "nothing happened."

"yeah, weird." paige said.

jen then however, began to wobble slightly, followed by wes.

"what the?" he gasped.

katie, paige and lucas then followed, but trip managed to remain still.

"guys?" he panicked.

"huh? i don't understand?" samurhive exclaimed. "that beam makes all humans dizzy?"

trip turned to him and clutched his fists, as the others fell over onto their chests.

"well, i'm not a human, samurhive!" trip yelled.

"well, i'll deal with you myself!" samurhive snarled.

he held up his sword and charged at trip, who

ought out his chrono saber in double blade mode, before charging back. they both locked blades together, then pulled back from each other, before samurhive slashed trip across the chest, knocking him back.

"uh!" he moaned, clutching his chest.

samurhive jumped up and dived towards him, then tried to slash him, but missed as trip rolled forward.

"what the?" samurhive exclaimed, before trip got up and slashed him down the back. "aghh!"

he turned around to trip, who then jumped up and kicked him with both feet, knocking him down and away.

"ahh!" he moaned, before hitting the ground.

"we're taking you in!" trip shouted.

"you're in big trouble now, green ranger!" samurhive snarled, pulling himself up.

he ripped of a patch on his left hand, causing the bubbles inside him to begin to rise up, as the other rangers looked up at him. trip ran towards them all, before he looked up at samurhive.

"circuit, we need help!" trip shouted into his morpher.

(clock tower)

circuit opened his eyes up while perched on the table.

"got it, trip." he said. "time flyers, online!"

in the city, the time flyers all came out of the gateway through a stadium roof.

once in the battle area, trip turned to the others, who all looked sick from dizziness.

"come on, guys, let's go." he said.

"right." wes said weakly.

they all jumped up into their time flyers.

"time force megazord, mode red!" trip shouted.

time flyers 4 and 5 flew over the others, then dived down and went in front of time flyers 1 and 6, before they turned onto their sides, time flyers 2 and 3 already in their leg shapes. they then combined with the top of time flyer 1 on either side, making the arms, then time flyers 2 and 3 combined with time flyer 6, before a head came up from time flyer 1, with blue eyes, forming time force megazord mode red.

a silver saber came out of the green part of the time force megazord's chest, before it grabbed it, then held it and its shield up.

an eclipse then began, then the shadow winger flew out of it and down towards the city. it flew above a street, then shot up towards the eclipse, before it turned around. parts of its wings then lowered themselves, making the legs, before it transformed into the time shadow megazord, which landed on a rooftop.

ought out his sword and stared at the time force megazord, as the rangers - expect trip - all struggled to keep still, lucas touching his forehead.

"you guys alright?" trip asked.

"too dizzy..." paige moaned.

"you'll have to..." katie began, leaning against her stick.

"got it. i'll do my best." trip promised.

"okay..." the others said.

samurhive charged at the time force megazord, then he jumped, dived towards it, then slashed it across the chest while dashing past it. he then dashed past it twice more, slashing it both times, then he slashed it down the chest, knocking it back.

"ahh!" the rangers moaned.

time shadow then dived towards samurhive, then dashed towards him, then he tried to slash it, but missed as it vanished.

"huh?" he muttered.

time shadow repapered behind him, then he turned around, before it slashed him down the chest with its right blade, then its left, and then with its right, knocking him down.

"aghh!" he moaned.

"how d'you like that?" trip joked, pointing forward.

time shadow ran forward, jumped up and transformed back into the shadow winger, before it flew past a few buildings.

"shadow force megazord, mode red!" trip shouted, holding his fist up.

the time force megazord jumped up, as the shadow winger turned into its shadow armour mode. the time force megazord landed on the feet of it, which then retracted onto it. the chest plate then down over the chest - not spinning around this time - then the ends of top of it moved to form a shoulder cannon on either side of its head. it then grabbed the blade, before the visor went over it, this time with only one point in the middle, forming the shadow force megazord mode red.

samurhive got up and stared at it, while inside, all but trip remained dizzy, starting to get sick.

"give it up, samurhive?" trip advised.

"never!" samurhive snarled.

he charged at the shadow force megazord while raising his sword up.

"fire laser nets!" trip shouted.

a laser net shot out from each of the shadow force megazord's shoulder cannons, which hit samurhive, trapping him.

"ah!" he moaned.

"you're under arrest, samurhive!" trip shouted.

samurhive grunted as he struggled to move.

"shadow force saber!" trip shouted, putting his hand over his stick.

the control stick lit up, then trip pulled his hands back, as it turned into a matching saber.

the shadow force megazord held its saber up, then spun it around in a circle, creating a clock

"blizzard slash!" trip shouted, pulling his saber back, as a clock appeared behind him.

he slashed his saber forward from right to left, then the shadow force megazord slashed its downwards, hitting samurhive as the nests vanished.

"aghhh!" he moaned, before he froze up.

"you're time's up." trip said, holding his left fist up, before extending his fingers up.

sparks and lighting all came out of samurhive, before he fell onto his chest and blew up, making him shrink down to tiny size.

the time flyers and time shadow flew towards a portal in the sky, which then closed after they flew through it.

on the ground, trip approached samurhive, as the others stared at each other, all back to normal.

"i'm glad that's over with." jen said.

"tell me about it." wes said.

"i hope that never happens again." paige sighed.

lucas and katie both nodded.

trip bent down, put his badge over samurhive, before a container appeared around him. he then picked it up and turned to the others.

"good work, trip." jen commented.

"yeah, nice work." lucas agreed.

"thanks, guys." trip said. "come on, let's get back."

they all turned and ran off.

ings out his chrono saber, then all the rangers turn around on a building.

the rangers stand near the time gate, then all spin around on a building again.

power...rangers!

they all stand together, then lucas presses his chrono morpher.

the rangers - minus wes - all stand together while looking around through visual scanner sunglasses.

the transwarp megazord whacks the shadow winger into the time gate.

the time flyers fly through time and space, then the rangers spin around onboard the time ship.

dinosaurs gasp as they see the time flyers, which then flew over the egyptians in ancient egypt.

neil armstrong gasps as shadow winger flies past him on the moon.

the rangers suits all light up slightly, with lines going down the helmets.

wes stands near his dad's mansion and smiles.

wes slashes through some cyclobots with his chrono saber.

paige dashes past some cyclobots while firing her v6 blaster.

jen runs along a street, then the rangers - minus wes - run away from the time ship.

the rangers all ride their vector cycles along a street.

the time ship blows up, then alex twirls around to avoid ransik.

time force - time force!

the rangers stand together as an explosion goes off behind them.

the transwarp megazord stands above people in the year 3000.

ransik stands in front of some cyclobots.

inging out his v1 blaster.

nadria rips off her civilian clothes in a store, showing her battle armour, and freaking out the customers while she smiles.

the ends of the saber move up slowly.

the rangers all look up at the clock tower.

the next day, in the cryo prison, ransik walked into the main room, as nadira, frax and gluto all turned to him.

"have any of you come up with a new idea?" he asked.

"um, well..." frax stuttered.

"i have, daddy." nadira smirked. "in fact, it's already in motion."

"care to explain, my dear?" ransik asked.

"i've sent down a mutant that can hypnotise people." nadira explained.

"how is that going to work?" frax inquired.

"simple, you bolt-

ain!" nadira snarled. "by having humans rob places for us, we can build up cash without the rangers knowing its us, as long as she doesn't show her true form."

"hmm?" ransik muttered, touching his chin. "that's a excellent idea, my sweet."

"it sure is, nadira." gluto smirked.

"frax, i want you to monitor this on the device." ransik ordered.

"as you wish, ransik." frax said.

meanwhile, in the clock tower, jen was staring at the mutants in the locked safe, as wes, katie and trip all sat around the table.

"you okay?" wes asked, turning to her.

"yeah." jen replied, closing the safe. "i just can't get over what samurhive did to us yesterday."

"about making us all dizzy expect trip?" katie inquired.

"yeah." jen replied, turning to them. "i guess it's a good thing that beam only worked on humans."

"true." trip said. "if it had worked on all of us, i'd hate to imagine what might've happened."

"tell me about it." lucas said, coming in. "i felt pretty stupid not being able to see properly."

"hey, where's paige?" wes asked, noticing she was missing.

"it's her turn to pick up the groceries." katie explained. "she should be back in an hour."

in the city, paige was walking down a street towards a store, when she saw a small line of people outside a building.

"i wonder what's going on?" she wondered, curiously.

she followed the line, and saw a sign 'meet vesper, the famous gypsy hypnotist'.

"huh?" she muttered.

"i heard she's great." a woman said, turning to her.

paige turned to her. "come again?" she asked.

"she can make you do anything, it's nearly impossible to resist." the woman explained. "you should give it a try?"

"well, i'll try anything once." paige said. "it can't do no harm, as long as it's quick."

they both turned to the line, and waited.

soon, paige walked into the room, and saw the gypsy.

"ah. welcome, my young friend." the gypsy said. "please, sit down."

paige sat down opposite her.

"what's your name?" the gypsy said.

"paige tanner?" paige replied.

"well, paige, look into my eyes." the gypsy said.

paige stared at her, as she

ought out a pendent, and held it in front of her.

"watch the pendent, paige." the gypsy said.

she began moving it from left to right, as paige kept her eyes on it, before she went into a trance.

"you are in my power." the gypsy said.

"i am in your power." paige said.

"you will help rob the bank for ransik." the gypsy said.

"i will help rob the bank for ransik." paige repeated.

"good. now, go into the back and wait for with the others." the gypsy instructed.

paige got up, then walked towards a door, then opened it up and stepped into a room, where five other people were, four men, and the woman from earlier.

the gypsy laughed evilly, before she changed into a lime green snake mutant called viperess, who had small snakes in her hair, scales all over her body, and the pendent around her neck.

"this is better than i expected." she hissed quietly. "i even have a power ranger under my control."

in the cryo prison, frax was standing by the communication device, which showed paige getting hypnotised, while nadira was getting fanned by two cyclobots, while gluto stared at her.

"hmm? interesting." frax smirked.

he turned around, just as ransik entered the room.

"how's your plan coming along, my dear?" ransik asked.

"it's going well, daddy." nadira assured. "those poor humans won't know what they're doing while under viperess' control."

"good." ransik said.

"there's more to it, ransik." frax said.

everyone turned to him.

"viperess has also hypnotised the orange ranger." frax explained.

"really?" ransik inquired.

"yep." frax replied.

"now, that is interesting." ransik smirked. "with her under viperess' control, the other rangers won't dare fight to stop her."

"yeah, and if we had them all under her control, it would turn the public against them." nadira agreed. "it will make them think the rangers have betrayed them."

"excellent." ransik smirked. "tell viperess to proceed with the plan!"

"yes, sir." frax said.

later, in the city, paige and the other hypnotised people all stood outside a bank, wearing black all over, including sunglasses. viperess - in her gypsy disguise - then showed up and approached them all.

"it's time to begin." she instructed. "you know what to do."

paige and the others nodded.

inside the bank, several people were all standing in line near a desk, where three women stood.

"alright, everything seems in order..." one said.

"i'll see about-" another said.

"just, hold on?" the third asked.

viperess, paige and the others then all stormed into the bank, all aiming blasters, paige firing one up at the ceiling.

"aghhh!" two girls screamed.

everyone turned to viperess, paige and the hypnotised people, as they aimed their blasters at them.

"alright, put your hands up and hand over the money!" viperess yelled.

a security guard came over to her.

"just who do you think you are?!" he demanded.

viperess laughed, before she changed back into her normal mode, and then picked him up by the shirt.

"ah!" the citizens gasped.

"you don't wanna know." viperess hissed. "understand?"

the guard nodded, before she threw him away.

"aghh!" he yelled, before hitting a wall.

"huh?" the citizens gasped.

"now, hand over the money!" viperess demanded.

"right away." one of the women said.

in the clock tower, wes and lucas were playing chess, as trip and katie watched, while jen looked out at the city from a window, when circuit's eyes shot up.

"rangers, there's trouble in the city!" he exclaimed.

"let's go!" wes said.

he and lucas got up as jen approached them all, then they all ran off, expect katie.

"wait, what about paige?" she asked.

the others all stopped and turned to her.

"paige, come in?" jen asked, putting her morpher to her mouth.

no hologram appeared on it, making her press her fingers against it.

"paige, come in?" she tried. "respond?"

no hologram showed up.

"she's not answering." she said.

"the line must be so long, wherever she is." trip deduced.

"meaning she can't reply." lucas realized.

"we'll have to go without her then." jen said. "come on."

they all ran off towards the stairs.

back at the bank, viperess laughed as she and the hypnotised people all came out of it, carrying sacks of money., before she turned to them.

"excellent work, everyone." she said. "time to get back to-"

she was then blasted from behind, hitting her back, as more blasts hit the ground around the hypnotised people.

"ah!" they moaned.

"what?" viperess exclaimed.

she turned around, as the rangers raced towards them on their vector cycles.

"hold it right there!" jen shouted.

the rangers parked their cycles over, then got off them, before pointed their chrono blasters at viperess.

"freeze!" she shouted.

"who do you think you are?!" viperess demanded.

"time force! you're under arrest!" jen shouted,

inging her badge out, before it glowed.

"oh, i don't think so!" viperess hissed.

"you lot, get outta here!" wes shouted.

the hypnotised people stayed still.

"what is wrong with you?!" lucas called. "you're all in danger!"

viperess laughed as the hypnotised people didn't move.

"i'm afraid they won't listen to you!" she snarled, before pointing at paige. "you get them! the rest of you, come with me!"

"yes, ma'am." paige said.

the rangers gasped, as jen lowered her badge.

"what?" wes gasped.

"no way!" katie exclaimed.

"paige!" trip gasped.

paige charged at them all, as viperess and the other people turned and ran off.

"paige, what's wrong with you?" jen asked.

paige ignored her, jumped up and kicked her in the chest, sending her flying away slightly.

"paige, what-!" lucas said, before paige punched him in the belly, and then elbowed him in the back.

"hey-!" wes complained, before paige spun around and tackled him, tripping him up onto his back.

"alright, we don't wanna hurt you, but you're leaving us no choice!" katie snarled, clutching her fist.

paige turned to her and trip, before katie charged at her. she then dodged a punch from katie, then ducked under another, before katie grabbed her by the chest and picked her up.

"alright, paige, just what is going on?!" katie demanded.

"none of your business, yellow ranger!" paige snarled, her hands on katie's, trying to

eak free.
